This site is dedicated to the series of workshops on AI/ML for Drug Discovery delivered as part of the AI2050 Senior Fellowship of Prof. Kelly Chibale from Schmidt Sciences

Courses Overview

This series of workshops consisted of:

• Introductory workshop: 2h workshop for participants of the H3D Symposium delivered on May 2024.

• West Africa Workshop: 4-day in person workshop for Eest Africa based participants delivered in Accra, Ghana in September 2024.

• East Africa Workshop: 4-day in person workshop for East Africa based participants delivered in Nairobi, Kenya in July 2025.

• Online workshop: 4-day online workshop open to African participants from all regions delivered in September 2025.

Partners

The courses have been jointly organised by the H3D Foundation, the H3D Centre (University of Cape Town) and Ersilia.

Local Hosts

In addition, we have counted with the support of local hosts for the in-person events in Ghana (Prof. Richard Amewu, Drug Innovation Group, University of Ghana) and Kenya (Dr. Elizabeth Kigondu, Kenya Medical Research Institute).
